Amanda Ann “Mandi” Trent, 31, of Taneytown, MD, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2017 in Taneytown.  Born March 4, 1985 in Towson, MD, she was the daughter of Gary Trent of Mt. Airy, and Regina (Lutz) Trent and step-father Pat Wivell of Thurmont.  She was the wife of Glen Hamm.

            Amanda was a homemaker.  She enjoyed being outdoors and traveling, especially to the beaches in South Carolina and Ocean City, MD.  She was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens.  More than anything, she loved spending time with her children and family, especially at the holidays.

            Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are sons, Glen Joseph Lee Hamm and Jacob John Hamm; sisters, Melissa Atwell and husband Alan Debernardo of Taneytown, Christie Trent and boyfriend Frank Reed of PA, Wendy Trent and boyfriend Jason Kibler of PA, Ashley Grap and husband Doug of Virginia Beach, VA, and Brittany  Hornberger and Greg of Mt. Airy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

            Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, 21787.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.  The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to the funeral home at the above address.
