Barbara Jeanne Thompson, age 73, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House.

         Born January 15, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Medford “Sparky” Franklin Carter, Jr. and Margaret Bertha (Constantine) Carter.  She was predeceased by her husband, David Leroy Thompson in 2014.

         Surviving are her beloved dog peanut, daughter, Lisa Bardoff and husband Chuck of Westminster, Dawn Smith and husband Marlin, and Denise Edmondson and husband T.J. both of Alabama; son-in-law, John Faloni of Stewartstown, PA; daughter-in-law, Glenna Thompson of Westminster; grandchildren Timmy Dorsey and wife Kristen, and Chelsi Bardoff all of Westminster; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Clayton, and Aubree Dorsey all of Westminster; along with numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and an estranged daughter, Kathy Dorsey.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Lynn Faloni in 1996, and by a step-son, Kevin Thompson in 2016.

         The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD  21157.
