Dolores Mae Ruppert, 85, of New Oxford, PA, formerly of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully and went home to be with the Lord and her husband Gus on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Brethren Home Community Healthcare Center in New Oxford, PA.

Born on December 22, 1931 in Taneytown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ray Frounfelter and Pauline (Crumbacker) Bowers.  She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard “Gus” Augustus Ruppert in 1992.

Dolores was a member of the Taneytown Presbyterian Church.  She worked as a secretary with Midtown Electric, the Carroll Record, and Worthington Pump for many years until her retirement.  She loved spending time with her family.

Surviving her are son, Edward B. Ruppert and wife Tina of Littlestown, PA; granddaughter, Jennifer N. Ruppert Harris and husband Scott of West Chester, PA; grandson, Joshua L. Ruppert of Littlestown, PA; great-grandsons, Colton and Camden Harris; brothers, Richard E. Frounfelter and wife Mary of Westminster and Claude S. Bowers and wife Connie of Littlestown, PA; sister, Eva Jane Uhler and husband David of Cashtown,PA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Edward Aaron Ruppert.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Uniontown, MD.
