Janice Marie Eyler, age 52, resident of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2014 (Mother’s Day) at Gilchrist Hospice House in Columbia, Maryland following a battle with cancer.
Born November 7, 1961 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Ridenour) Sharer.  She was predeceased by her husband, James Eyler in 2007.
Janice enjoyed going shopping, playing BINGO and cards, and rides thru the countryside surrounding Emmitsburg.
Surviving her are son, Paul Eyler and girlfriend Lauren Goldan and daughter, Amy Eyler, all of Emmitsburg; grandchildren, Kaylee and Ryan Eyler, and Johnathan Goldan; sisters, Eva Miller and Sherry Tester both of Emmitsburg, and brother, Lloyd Sharer of Emmitsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Furhman and Ann Cool, and brother, Eddie Sharer.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD.  Inurnment will follow in the New St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Emmitsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
