Jennye Alyce “Peggy” Osborne, 93, of Westminster, died Wednesday morning, August 24, 2016 at Bethania Assisted Living in Westminster.  Born January 9, 1923 in Catonsville, she was the daughter of the late Quincy A. and Alice E. Caines Gladding.  Her husband, Eugene F. Osborne, Sr, predeceased her in 2005.

          Peggy was employed as a secretary at Western Maryland College.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, traveling, camping and being outdoors.  She loved to play the organ and sing and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a member of Dan River Primitive Baptist Church in southern Virginia.

          Surviving her is a daughter, Janet L. Brooks and husband, Allan, of Huntingdon, PA and a son, Eugene F. Osborne, Jr and wife, Cindy of Westminster; grandchildren, Gwendolyn (Chuck) Culbertson of Huntingdon, PA, Jessica Pellam of Harrisburg, PA, David Pellam of Mechanicsburg, PA, Allison Osborne of Westminster and Amber (Sean) Seibel of Westminster; great-grandchildren, Russell and Emma Culbertson; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers, Henry and Melvin Gladding.

          A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster.   Burial will follow in Emmanuel Baust Cemetery, Tyrone.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
