I am on the board of the Taneytown Heritage and Museum Association, and I took my husband and my mother in to see the displays at the Museum just before they closed for the winter in November. John was the one who, along with George Naylor, showed us around the museum. John was very friendly, enthusiastic, and a great ambassador for Taneytown and the museum. I know he will be greatly missed. Our deepest sympathy for your loss.

I was so sorry to hear about your father John. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but I heard good things about him. Please know that I still have fond thoughts of your mom, and at this difficult time you, Shawna, and the boys have my sympathies and are in my thoughts as well.

Wahnita and Doris, Thinking of you at this time. Always saw John when I visited Trinity over the years, and of course remember the days back "on the Avenue". Sending up prayers at this time of sorrow.

I was a 1963 classmate of John. Over the 50 some years since we graduated I have spoke to John on several occasions. He always projected his friendliness towards me and my family. My sympathy is extended to his family. He made a great life for himself and his family.
