Leola Ann Morris, 90, resident of Finksburg, Maryland, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Westminster.

Born October 15, 1926 in Charlottesville, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bertha Ola (Knight) Shifflett.  She was the wife of the late Wallace A. Morris, who predeceased her in 2014.

Leola was a devout Christian and a member of Westminster Baptist Church.  She loved her family and her Lord.  She loved music and enjoyed playing guitar and mandolin.  She composed music and wrote several songs.

Surviving are her son, Gaylon Morris and wife, Mary Jo of Finksburg; grandchildren, Gaylon, Paul, Scott, Maritza, Melissa and Josh; and great-grandchildren, Cayden, Porter, Bryan and Joey.  She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Christine; brothers, Benjamin, Eugene, Ellis and Louis Shifflet and her sister, Irene Shifflet.

A graveside service and entombment will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
