Margaret Virginia Allick, 92, of Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born December 9, 1924 in Woodlawn, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Oscar and Pearl Virginia (Meekins) Roelecke.  She was the wife of the late Henry Joseph Allick.

        Margaret was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.  She was a member of the Taneytown Seniors Club. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening, line dancing, bird watching, and playing Bananagrams.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and was much loved by her children and grandchildren. 

        Surviving are daughter, Janet L. Abend and husband M. Charles of Pasadena, MD; sons, Neal Cantwell and wife Elaine of Vero Beach, FL, Thomas Cantwell of Taneytown, and Kyle Cantwell of Hanover, PA; sister, Zola Harner of Taneytown; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brother, Frederick Roelecke, Jr.

        A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD.  Burial will follow at Grace UCC Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
