Mary Margaret Gibson, 90, of Manchester, Maryland, died on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born April 17, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Charles and Lila Rae (Dooley) Strible.  She was the wife of the late Glenn Owen Gibson, Jr., who died in 1990.

Mary was a cashier at the A & P grocery store for many years.  She enjoyed playing cards especially Bridge, playing BINGO, and was a practical joker.  She loved her pet dogs, was very devoted to taking care of her parents, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over 20 years.

Surviving are daughter, Mary “Kathie” K. Conner of Pasadena; sons, Glenn O. Gibson, III and wife Cheri of Westminster, and David M. Gibson and wife Nancy of Easton, PA; brother, Verne C. Strible of FL; grandchildren, Laura Conner, Ryan Conner, Renee Rodriguez, Risalina Rodriguez, Bradford, Christopher, Stephanie, David Jr., Matthew, and Kelly Gibson; great-grandchildren, Aubree Crusse, Owen, Annie, Jimmy, Paige, and Joey Gibson.

She was predeceased by a son, Gary K. Gibson and by a brother, Ferdinand C. Strible, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. from the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with John C. Morrill as funeral celebrant.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
