Peggy Lee Reed, 87, resident of Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2017 in the Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center.

Born on October 9, 1930 in Owings Mills, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William and Fannie (Barnhart) Baublitz.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, C. Arthur Reed.

Peggy worked for the Rexall Drug store in Westminster for many years, and later as a school bus driver.  She was a member of St. John’s (Leisters) Lutheran Church in Westminster.  She enjoyed playing cards, camping, and crocheting.

Surviving in addition to her husband are son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Cinda Reed; grandson, Keith Reed, Jr.; and sister, Edythe Hastings; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village with Rev. Jimmie L. Schwartz and Deacon Don Myers officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John’s (Leisters) Lutheran Cemetery in Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Carroll Lutheran Village Resident Assistance Fund, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, MD  21158 or to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD  21157.
