Ruth Loraine Meusel, 91, of Taneytown, Maryland, formerly of Baltimore died peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Lorien Taneytown.

Born July 7, 1925 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Ruthetta (Warehime) Meusel.

Ruth worked as a clerk with B G&E for many years.  She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Baltimore.  She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her extended family and  her church family.  She was an avid Orioles fan.

She was the last of her immediate family but is survived by numerous cousins in Carroll County.  She was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Meusel in 1999.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with her pastor,  Reverend Martin Schultheis, officiating.  Burial will follow in Emmanuel (Baust) Church Cemetery in Westminster.
