Marjorie Hazel Tilley

Marjorie Hazel Tilley, age 98, passed away peacefully on Monday March 25, 2024, at Brightview Senior Living, Westminster MD. Born January 19, 1926, in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Isabel Noel. 

Marjorie was a WWII bride marrying her husband, Howard H. Bezanson on October 31, 1944. They were married for 27 years, relocating to the United States in Lexington Massachusetts, and later lived in Orinda CA; Barrington RI and Timonium MD as they raised their family of two sons. 

Many years later, Marjorie reconnected and married at the young age of 66 her childhood sweetheart the “boy next door”, Ronald Tilley from her hometown of St. John’s, they resided in New Port Richey, FL for 25 years. Ronald passed away in 2017. 

She is survived by her son, David N. Bezanson and wife Caren of Reisterstown, MD; grandsons, Michael Bezanson and wife Bridget of Manchester, Md and Matthew Bezanson and wife Millie of Wilton, CT; great grandchildren, Evangeline, Philippa, Beatrice, Maxwell, Marco and Milo and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Bezanson of Springfield MO and her brother Frederick Noel of St John’s Newfoundland. 

Besides her husband, Ronald Tilley, she was predeceased by her son, Robert H. Bezanson, siblings Heber Noel, Eric Noel, Doris Sheppard, and Shirley White. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday April 11 at 2:00 for a time of visitation followed by a memorial service beginning at 3:00 at 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD.
