Ann (McNeal) Lucas

          Harriet Ann Lucas, 87, of Parkville, MD died peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Fairhaven Retirement Community in Sykesville.  Born April 18, 1932 in Columbia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Harriet (Stevenson) McNeal.  She was the wife of the late Paul W. Lucas.

          Ann was a graduate of Columbia High School and West Chester University of Pennsylvania.  She was an elementary school teacher for 41 years, teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grades in the Lancaster City School District of PA and the Dunedin School District of FL.  She enjoyed traveling and playing piano.  Ann was a fan of Penn State Nittany Lions football and the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

          Surviving are her sister, Sue McNeal Bishop and husband Don of Woodbury, MN; 2 nieces; and 4 nephews.

          Services are private. Interment will be at Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens in Columbia, PA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.

          In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ann’s name may be made to the Masonic Children’s Home, 1 Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
