Anne Cecilia Forman

            Anne Cecilia Forman of Taneytown died peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born January 29, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Noone and Mary Agnes Hogan, who emigrated here from Portumna, County Galway, Ireland.  She was the wife of the late Lambert Bowne Forman.

            Anne worked for many years in the Communications Department of Reader’s Digest in Pleasantville, NY.  Anne spent all of her life in New York State until moving closer to her grandchildren 13 years ago to reside in Taneytown at Carroll Vista, where she thoroughly enjoyed joining the many activities and travel.  She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown.  Prayer was an important element of Anne’s life.  She loved children and animals, and had a heart for helping others.  She was a Salvation Army Christmas-time bell-ringer in New York for many years and volunteered at Carroll Hospital in Westminster for ten years.  She loved to dance but stated that her favorite hobby was her children.  She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and her Irish heritage.

            Surviving are daughter, Linda Anne Forman and husband Martin K. O’Sullivan of Yonkers, NY; son, Theodore Lambert Forman and wife Lynn Baugher Forman of Westminster; and grandchildren, Cassie Anne Forman and Benjamin Allan Forman.  She is also remembered by her dear friend, Angelo Zambetti of Taneytown.  

            A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St., St., Taneytown, MD with Father John F. Lesnick as celebrant.  Interment will be at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery in Brewster, NY on Monday, April 23rd.  The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 20th at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anne’s name may be made to Catholic Charities, 320 Cathedral St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
