Brenda Yvonne (Warfield) Dorsey

Brenda Yvonne Dorsey, 71, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Friday, August 31, 2018 at her home.

Born on January 9, 1947 in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of the late Nelson L. Warfield, Sr. and Arlene L. Hall.  She is the wife of 50 years to James Thomas Dorsey, Sr.

Brenda was a graduate of the last high school class of 1965 at Robert Moton H.S. in Westminster.  She worked for McGregor Printing Co. near New Windsor and was also a crossing guard for the City of Westminster.  She volunteered at many of the local churches and enjoyed fishing, dancing, and attending yard sales.

Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Richard Warfield and wife Linda of Darlington, SC, James Dorsey, Jr. of Hanover, PA, Kevin Dorsey and wife Kristine of Frederick, Zoe Dorsey, Zayon Dorsey, and Jaheid Dorsey all of Westminster; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sherry, Sheree, Gail, Carmen and Vicki Warfield, and Jackie Costley; brothers, Leroy, Nelson, and Kevin Warfield; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers, Gregory and Larry Warfield.

The family will receive friends at a viewing/visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster.  There will be no funeral services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
