Frank Hobbs, Jr.

          Francis Vincent “Frank” Hobbs, Jr., 57, of Emmitsburg, died on Friday, May 3, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Ministries in Emmitsburg.  Born December 5, 1961 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Ruth Evelyn (Smith) Hobbs of Emmitsburg and the late Francis Vincent Hobbs, Sr.

          Frank was an auto mechanic at the family business, East End Garage, in Emmitsburg.  He also drove a bus for Frederick County Public Schools for several years.  He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, buying & selling cars, and spending time with his family.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

          Surviving, in addition to his mother Ruth, are daughter, Kimberly Hobbs of Fairfield, PA; sister, Mary Hess of Orrtanna, PA; and granddaughters, Alissa and Kailey Hanvey.  He was predeceased by great-grandson, Trevor Matthew Wise, Jr.

          A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 W. North St., Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. Jon R.
