James Henry Stonesifer, 83, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home.

          Born January 28, 1934 in Adams County, PA, he was the son of the late Charles C. and Ruth (Hubbard) Stonesifer.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, MaRea (Blessing) Stonesifer.

          Jim was a member of the MD National Guard 29th Division in Westminster for 6 years.  He was a welder and heavy equipment operator for many years.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved his family especially his grandchildren.

          Surviving in addition to his wife are son, Bruce James Stonesifer and wife Mary of Littlestown; grandchildren, Kelly, Bradley, Joe, and Luke; sister, Larue Hoffman of Westminster.  He was predeceased by sisters, Charlotte Amspacher and Nancy Storm; and brother, Maurice Stonesifer.

          Graveside services and burial will be private in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg, MD.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
