Joseph Thomas Davis, 47, of Taneytown, Maryland, died suddenly on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his home.

Born September 19, 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Louie Bradford Davis and Gloria (Johnson) Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Karon Louise (Cozort) Davis.

Joe was a graduate of Westminster High School class of 1987.  He was a house painter for most of his working career.  He loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, vegetable gardening, and bar-b-q.  He was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons, Logan Davis and wife Charis of Biglerville, PA, and Zachary Davis of Taneytown; daughter, Alexis Davis of Taneytown; step-children, Kassia Miller Baugher and husband Zach, Tiffani Miller, and Eric Gibbons all of Taneytown; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Emma, and Ellie Davis, and Mila Baugher; brother, Stephen Davis and wife Stephanie of Baltimore; sister, Sherry Sanders and husband Nick Magruder of Hanover, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, Md.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help to defray final expenses.
