Marie Anna (McGlaughlin) Myers

          Marie Anna Myers, 88, of Fairfield, PA, died peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Ministries in Emmitsburg, MD.

          Born on April 14, 1929 in Liberty Twp., PA, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Rosalie (Reese) McGlaughlin.  She was the wife of the late Francis J. “Cuz” Myers.

          Marie enjoyed playing BINGO, word search puzzles, spending time with her family and her cat “Lucky”.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg.

          Surviving her are daughter, Jeanne Hurley and husband Ron of Fairfield, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

          She was predeceased by sisters, Grace Eckenrode and Sylvia Ridenour.

          A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St., Emmitsburg with Rev. Charles F. Krieg, C.M. as celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fairfield, PA.  The family will receive friends on Friday April 6th from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.

          In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O. Box 376, Emmitsburg, MD  21727.

          Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Emmitsburg.
