Michael King

Michael James King, 40, of Aberdeen, MD, formerly of Taneytown, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his home.  Born January 9, 1978, he was the son of James King of Smithfield, PA and Cindy Stitely of Falling Waters, WV.

          Michael was a carpet layer and carpenter for various contractors over the years.  He enjoyed fishing and working on remote-controlled cars.  He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens.

          Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his children, Tabitha King and her boyfriend Ky Creamer of Taneytown, Samantha Christopher and her husband Ryan of Frederick, Payton King of MD, and Christopher King of Taneytown; granddaughter, Cambria James Christopher; sister, Elizabeth Beaumont of Falling Waters, WV; grandparents, Michael and Nancy Atwell of Gettysburg, PA; and aunts, Vicky Stitely, Stacy Stitely and partner Carroll Lescalleet of Gettysburg, PA, and Lisa Shiloh of PA; and numerous cousins.  He is also remembered by the mother of his children, Laura Baker of Taneytown.

            A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Taneytown Memorial Park, Pavilion #5, MD Rt. 140 at Park Drive, Taneytown, MD 21787.  The family is being assisted by MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Taneytown.
