Patricia Lou “Pat” Reid, 75, of Taneytown, died peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2014 at her home.  Born July 30, 1938 in Long Beach, CA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Thomas McCarley and Lucille Carter Vincent Maki.  She was the wife of James E. Reid, to whom she was married for more than 54 years.

Pat was a radiology technician and spent many years working in the offices of Drs. Goozh and Goldstein in Rockville.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, dancing, and traveling.

Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Steven Reid and wife Sharon, and daughter, Karen Reid all of Littlestown, PA; sister, Judith Ann White and husband Dale of South Carolina; grandchildren, Steven Reid, Jr. and wife Eleisha of Amissville, VA and Heather and Matthew Reid of Littlestown, PA; and nieces, Kelley, Sheri, Shelly, and Keri.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 23 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD.  Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  A reception will be held at the Carroll Vista clubhouse, 1 Clubside Dr., Taneytown, MD, following the celebration service.
