Regina Lutz Trent, 55, of Thurmont, Maryland, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born August 27, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Erma (Willis) Lutz.

Regina was a C.N.A. in local nursing homes caring for the elderly, as well as a private duty nurse.  She was a strong and loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She loved animals, cooking, crossword puzzles, and family vacations to Ocean City, MD.

Surviving are daughters, Melissa Atwell, Christie Trent, Wendy Trent, Ashley Grap, and Brittany Hornberger; 18 grandchildren; significant other, Pat Wivell; sisters, Donna Mathis and Linda Penn; brothers, Al Shifflett and Gary Mathis; and former spouse, Gary Trent.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Amanda “Mandi” Trent and sister, Erma Jean Schaeffer.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster with John C. Morrill, funeral celebrant officiating.  Burial will be follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.  The family will receive friends from on Sunday January 21st from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.
