Ruth E. (Dahlgreen) Myers

Ruth E. Myers, 97, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation in Taneytown.

Born June 1, 1921 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John C. Dahlgreen, Sr. and Geneva LaMotte (Kinnard) Dahlgreen.  She was the wife of the late Ralph Myers, who predeceased her in 1979.

She was a member of Sandymount United Methodist Church, where she was active with the “Willing Workers” Sunday School Class.   

She is survived by sons, Ralph Frank Myers and wife Leannah of Greensburg, PA and Guy A. Myers and wife Phyllis of Westminster; daughter, Shirley A. Cox of Hughes Springs, TX; grandchildren, Jay Russell Myers and wife Laura of Fairmont, WV, Terri Jo Pardus and husband Chris of Greensburg, PA, Tiffany R. Hall and husband Marc of Raleigh, NC, Matthew R. Myers of Westminster, Tim J. Stonesifer and wife Melissa of Hughes Springs, TX; 7 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Larry Myers; brother, John C. Dahlgreen,Jr.; sister, Geneva Grue; and son-in-law, Lee Cox.

Private graveside services and burial will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Sandymount United Methodist Cemetery with Rev. William Boyer officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
