Valerie Ann Peters

            Valerie Ann Peters, 41, of Taneytown passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 24, 2018 in Berkeley Springs, WV.  Born February 21, 1977 in Rock Springs, WY, she was the daughter of the late Denver and Sonja Truman.  She was the wife of Robert Michael Peters, Jr. of Taneytown.

            Val had worked in food service at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation in Taneytown, the Taneytown McDonalds and at other area restaurants over the years.  She enjoyed cooking, picnics, camping, riding with Rob on his motorcycle, being outdoors and listening to music.  Val was always willing and happy to help others.  More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

            Surviving, in addition to her husband Rob, are son, R. Michael Peters III of Taneytown; brother, Richard Truman and wife Stacey of Westminster; in-laws, Robert M. Peters, Sr. and wife Lois of Taneytown; and brother-in-law, Robert Ainsley and wife Kathy of Edgewood.

            Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.  There will be no visitation or viewing.  A date, time and location for a celebration of Val’s life will be forthcoming.
