Abby Bare Foster

On Tuesday April 21, 2026 Abby Bare Foster passed away peacefully at BridgingLife Hospice in Westminster. Born on April 2, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Daniel Hoffman and Carol Bare nee Remsburg of Manchester, MD. She was the loving wife of the late Dennis Russell Foster, who passed away in 2017.

Abby was a special education teacher for 30 years in Florida. She coached Special Olympics for many years and was once awarded teacher of the year. Abby and Denny loved to travel together before he passed away. She enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars, doing word searches, playing her weekly games of Mahjong with friends, Rummy with family, and going to lunch with her friends as often as she could. She also loved to play with her great nieces and nephews and attend their activities when possible.

Abby is survived by her brother John Bare and his wife Kim; her nieces and nephews Lyndsay Kuzmak and husband Steve, Daniel Bare and wife Kelly, Zach Bare and wife Katey, Kelly Bare and fiancé Jacob; and her great nieces and nephews Gabby, Jonathan, Coco, Declan, Caroline, Christopher, and Carson.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday May 5, 2026 from 11am-1pm at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A. 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157). A Funeral Service will begin at 1pm with Pastor David Bare officiating. Interment will be private in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
