Amy Mae Drumm, age 90 of Emmitsburg, MD, passed peacefully in her home on January 14, 2026. Born March 27,1935 in Ladysburg, MD she was the daughter of the late Alton Biddinger and Anna Ruth (Bowersox) Biddinger.
Amy was a beloved wife, mother, sibling and grandmother. She had the unlimited ability to love all. Everyone who met Amy knew of her kindness and genuine affection.
Amy worked as a mail clerk at Mount Saint Mary's University for 22 years, retiring in 1999. In her youth she enjoyed horseback riding. She had a passion for gardening and was proud of her green thumb. Birdwatching was a thrill, and one of her many hobbies. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She lovingly crafted her daughter's wedding gown. She shared her skills by teaching the art of sewing at Mother Seton School. Her large loving family was her proudest achievement.
Amy was predeceased by her husband Walter D. Drumm, who passed on December 25, 1986; children, Virginia (Kehne) McCann, Patricia (Kehne) McDaniel, Laura (Kehne) Hagan, and Linda (Kehne) Fitzgerald.
She is survived by children, Barbara (Kehne) Leonard, Donna (Kehne) Noonan & husband Edward, Lawrence Kehne and wife Lisa, Martha Kehne, John Drumm, Walter Drumm & wife Blasia; son in law Brian Fitzgerald, siblings Howard Biddinger, Mary (Biddinger) Ward; over 60 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Special mention to her lifelong friends Doris Gruber, Khan Pham, care takers Eustaqio and Mayret Hernandez along with their children Jonathan and Renata
A funeral service will be held at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, Md on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will follow the serve at New St. Joseph Cemetery on Seton Ave, Emmitsburg.
