Amy Romaine (Welty) Eyler

Amy Romaine Eyler, 58, nee Welty, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Gettysburg Hospital. Born on April 5, 1963, she was the daughter of Harry Welty and the late Ardene Thomas. She was the loving wife to Donald Eugene Eyler of 31 years.

Amy was a service manager at Wantz Chevrolet in Taneytown for many years. She enjoyed going to the river (Potomac Fish & Game Club), reading, shopping, and spending time with her grandkids.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Andrew Eyler and wife Allison, and Joseph Eyler, all of Taneytown; grandchildren Kinlee Crumbacker, Kylee and Karlee Eyler; sister-in-laws Terry Smith and husband John, LouAnn Baugher and husband Daniel, Lisa Smith and husband Rob, Kathy Ecker and husband Kenneth; and brother-in-law Bruce Eyler and wife Michelle; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the funeral home with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Taneytown, MD (21787).
