Ann Neff King Zeh, 82, of Frederick, MD, passed away on April 17, 2023. Ann was born on January 17, 1941 in Wytheville, VA. She was the daughter of the late Burnis W. Neff, Sr. and Grace Tipton Neff of Wytheville, VA, who later moved to Silver Spring, MD.
Ann is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Allen Zeh of Frederick, MD. She is also survived by her three children: Beverly Carole King of Ijamsville, MD; Landon Christopher King (Patricia) of Damascus, MD; and Anthony Manard King (Vicki) of Mt. Airy, MD. Ann is survived by one sister Barbara Rash (Joseph) Sinclair of Snow Shoe, PA. Also, three sisters-in-law: Mary C. King of Wytheville, VA; Ruth R. Zeh of Amissville, VA; and Helen Hutchinson of Oak Hill, FL. Ann is survived by three grandchildren: Brittany McLean of Ijamsville, MD; Adam King of New Market, MD; and Ryan King of Damascus, MD. Also, Ann had nephews: Brandon (Neff) Penick of Silver Spring, MD; Ronald (Kimberly) Rash; Richard Rash of Snow Shoe, PA; and Anthony (Diane) Hutchinson of Sevierville, TN; along with niece Cindy (Byron) Bell of Oak Hill, FL.
Ann also has many great nieces and nephews and great-grand nephews and nieces.
Ann is also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Burnis William Neff, Jr. and Roger Lee Neff of Silver Spring, MD, along with an infant sister Linda Lorain Neff of Wytheville, VA and nephew Joseph “Jody” Sinclair, II of Snow Shoe, PA.
Ann also wanted a special mention of lifelong friends Gale Buck and Mary Rhodes of Rural Retreat, VA. Gale and Ann have called each other sisters since they were 3 years old.
Ann attended Rural Retreat High School and then later moved to Silver Spring, MD, then on to Frederick, MD. Ann worked in insurance for 30 years before retirement in 2002. She obtained her insurance license in property and casualty, commercial and residential, and life and health. She loved her work with great commitment and devotion.
Ann was a master seamstress who loved sewing, crafting, cooking, canning, crocheting, gardening, shopping, and traveling. She had a great gift and pride in making a welcoming home. Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She always had time for all and loved each one completely. Ann was loved by so many. Her family included so many friends who she grew to love as family.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157, where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, following the Service.
