Ardene Thomas Welty of Taneytown passed away peacefully, Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg. Born January 20, 1939 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late John M. Thomas and Mae Thomas, nee Owings; she was the beloved significant other of William Phillips of Taneytown; devoted mother of Amy R. Eyler and her husband Donald; loving grandmother of Andrew Eyler and his wife Allison, and Joseph Eyler; cherished great grandmother of Kinlee, Kylee, and Karlee; and sister of John Thomas and his wife Barbara of Colorado. She was predeceased by her babies Frisky and Princess, her loving and loyal dogs. She was the owner of Quality Utility Construction, Inc., an avid Steelers fan and loved spending time with her puppy dogs.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown (21787) where a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021. Interment will follow in the Grace U.C.C. Cemetery, Taneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered in Ms. Welty’s name to the Humane Society of Carroll County.
