Betty Jean Blanchette

On April 21, 2026, Betty Jean Blanchette, passed away peacefully in Westminster, MD. Born on July 15, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Velma Eyler nee Vaughn of Taneytown, MD. She was married to her husband James Blanchette for 35 years before his death in 2023.

Betty worked for Random House in Westminster for 26 years. She enjoyed watching crime shows and NASCAR, playing Bingo, and spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her daughters Bobbie Carhart and husband James of Finksburg, Ashley Holmes of Hanover, and son Brian Boone of Columbus; her grandchildren Bret Carhart, Kurtis Boone, Luke Boone, and Maggie Holmes, and great-grandchildren Ryder, Meadow, and James.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son Scott Boone.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 1-4 pm at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 91 Willis Street Westminster (21157).
