Brent Tyler Propst, 20, of Union Bridge, MD, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 14, 2020 at his home. Born July 17, 2000 in Westminster, he was the son of Robert Scott Propst of Union Bridge, and Laurie Beth (Koons) Propst (Calvin Murray) of Westminster.
Brent was a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, class of 2018. He was employed with Beall’s Lawn and Garden Service in Taneytown. He enjoyed fishing, going to car meets, listening to music, hanging out with friends, spending time at High Rock, and skateboarding.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are siblings, Dylan Propst (girlfriend Kendall Johnson), Dustin Propst, and Korin Propst; paternal grandparents, Phil and Mary “Connie” Propst; Maternal grandfather, Ed Koons; aunts, Mari Koons and Jennifer Mantlo; uncle, Michael Propst; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Becky Koons.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 21st at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787 . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks must be worn in the funeral home and social distancing is to be observed. Please consult with the family to schedule a time during visiting hours to pay your respects, as space will be limited. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father John F. Lesnick as celebrant, will be private. The service will be live streamed, beginning at 11 a.m.Tuesday, December 22nd using the following link: https://www.facebook.com/MDFHWestminster. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
