Carole Lee (Weidner) Miller

Carole Lee Weidner Miller, of Fairfield, PA, went to the Lord on December 16, 2022. She was the wife of Charles “Skip” Miller Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Christina Angela Hornbaker and Husband David, of Greencastle, PA, and Melissa Ann Beck and husband Christopher, of Chambersburg, PA; son, William Christian Eiker and wife Sheila, of Gettysburg, PA; step-daughter, Celina Renee Miller;  grandchildren, Nathon Tressler and wife Amanda, Jeremiah Tressler and wife Tiffany, all of Mercersburg, PA, Ryan Welsh, of Greencastle, PA, Jason Shew, of Pittsburgh, PA, Tonya Eiker, of Gettysburg, PA, and Britteny Eiker, of Fairfield, PA; step-granddaughter, Crystal Denne and husband Matt, of Milton, FL; and great-grandkids, Zachary, Shelby, Grayson, and Jason.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Catherine Ashbaugh, and Charles William Weidner Sr.; brother, Charles William Weidner; sister, Tina Marie Weidner Brame; and previous husband, Jerry N. Yingling.

She was a lifelong member of the National VFW and DAV Ladies AUX. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years, in Shawnee and Penn Laurel Counsels. She taught CCD classes at Fort Ritchie Army Base for many years. Carole had many family and friends who walked into her life that she cherished. She loved cats and her Wally boy. Carole worked for Claire Frock Co. in Thurmont, MD, MSM University in Emmitsburg, MD, Hood College in Frederick, MD, and SVCC and Lorien, as a GNA. She was a graduate of Phoenix and Kaplan University Medical Assistant program.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 22nd, from 5:00-8:00 PM, at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 210 W Main Street, Emmitsburg, MD 21727. A memorial service will be held the following week on Wednesday, December 28th, at 12:00 PM, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.
