Charles Hirsch

Charles A. Hirsch, beloved son, husband, and father, passed away on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, at Carroll Lutheran Village. At 90 years of age, he lived a long and full life. 

Charles graduated from Milford Mill High School. He went to work with his uncle at the Waverly Press Williams & Wilkins printing company in downtown Baltimore where he spent nearly 40 years before retiring. In those intervening years he served in the Air Force Reserves, married, had 3 children, and bought a house which he took great care of and made many additions to. He took the family on many vacations to his favorite locations along the warm shores of the Florida coastline where he could indulge his passion for aquatic life. He was also a lifelong learner and earned his AA degree in Business while attending night school at Catonsville Community College. He was also an original do-it-yourselfer who could build, fix, repair, or replace anything around the house. 

After the passing of his wife, he remarried and the two began their golden years together. They built a custom house, took many trips around the US in their Winnebego RV, and took as many ocean cruises together. They enjoyed a slower pace of life and their combined family of 5 children and 4 grandchildren. After the passing of his second wife, he is survived by those children. A devoted family man he was married, in total, for 56 years.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157) and again on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Krug Chapel, Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 Saint Lutheran Circle, Westminster (21158).  A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Druid Ridge Cemetery.
