Charles “Jack” Alton Fogle, 79 of Taneytown, Maryland, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 at his home. Born on September 23rd, 1946 in Woodsboro, Maryland. He was the son of the late Charles William Fogle and Genevieve Edith Plaine. Jack was a beloved husband to his wife Patricia Ann Fogle whom he married on July 11th, 1970.

He was a hard worker, dedicating 30 years to his career as a factory worker for Lion Brothers Company and then retiring from Evapco. Jack also served his community proudly for 55 years as a volunteer at Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company. Jack enjoyed life’s honest pleasures by spending time with his family, fishing, floating in the pool and with his dogs, Ellie and Cinnamon.

Surviving him in addition to his wife Patricia are children Sherry Ruby and her husband Kenny Ruby of Hampstead, MD, Pamela Fogle and her husband Richard Fogle of Littlestown, PA and Connie Vance and her husband Bradley Vance also from Littlestown, PA. Additionally surviving are his grandchildren, David Ruby and wife Leeanna, Brittany Ruby and her fiancé Brandon, Shannon and Dustin Fogle, Logan and Rylee Vance; great grand children Brayden Zick and Hudson Ruby. Jack leaves behind one sister, Susan Fogle and niece Stacey Eiker.

Family will receive visitation for family and friends on Monday, May 18th from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm as well as on Tuesday, May 19th from 10-11am at Myers-Duboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787.

A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation on Tuesday, May 19th at 11am with interment to follow at Emmanuel Baust Church Cemetery.
