Charles H. Taylor Iii

Charles H. "Charlie"  Taylor III, age 65, of Taneytown died at his home on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Born February 28, 1959, he was the son of the late Charles H. Taylor Jr. and Catherine Naomi Smith Taylor.

Charlie spent his career as a truck driver and was a longtime employee of Grey & Son, Inc.

In his early years Charlie enjoyed 4 wheeling and dirt-bike riding, being on the farm with the animals and caring for his tropical fish. He loved to drive. He was a simple man, strong-willed and blunt, but devoted, known to be very generous and never hesitated to help a friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Taylor of Westminster; cousins, Angela Taylor Leitzer and husband Winfield of Perry Hall, Md.; Carol Taylor Mello of Westminster, Md.; Kenneth Taylor and wife Rosemary of Catonsville, Md.; David Taylor and wife Karen of Bel Air, Md.; Philip Taylor of Bel Air, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Wayne Taylor, and sister, Charlotte Taylor. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 12 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster MD, 21157. Interment will be at a later date.
