On Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, Corinne Mae Miller passed away peacefully at Northampton Manor in Frederick surrounded by her family after a battle with Kidney Disease and Parkinson’s Disease. Born on March 2, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Bernadette Kaas, nee Orndorff. She was the loving wife of the late Brooke Ignatius Miller, her husband of 46 years, who passed away in 2017.
She is survived by her children Debra Cool and her husband Allen, Kenneth Kreitz and his wife Sherry, Tina Ridenour and her husband Leo, Kevin Miller, Joseph Miller, Anthony Miller and his wife Donna, and Darlene Geiman and her husband Timothy; sister of Virginia Althoff and her husband Ed, and Rosalie Ferrebee and her husband Wayne; her daughters-in-law Karen and Sandy Miller; grandmother of 22 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Miller is predeceased by her children Eugene and William Miller; her grandchildren Nicholas Miller and Jeffrey Kreitz; her great grandchildren Skylar Stambaugh and Landon Kreitz; her daughter-in-law Pam Miller; and her siblings and their spouses Robert and Betty Kaas, David Kaas, Rita and Lou Fields, Marie and Franklin Stambaugh, and Ruth and Robert Seidel.
For many years, she was a faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Community in Emmitsburg. Over the years, she enjoyed going on picnics with family, spending time gardening her plants and flowers, watching cooking shows as well as Steve Harvey's Family Feud, watching out her windows for birds and animals while enjoying a good coloring book to pass time and relax. She had a tremendous collection of cookbooks and enjoyed preparing her famous Corinne’s Concoctions, which were her own created recipes for family and friends alike.
The family will receive friends 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025, for a graveside service at the New St. Joseph Cemetery, on South Seton Avenue in Emmitsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered in Mrs. Miller’s name to Frederick Health Hospice, 1 Frederick Health Way, Frederick, MD 21701 or the Vigilant Hose Company 25 West Main Street, Emmitsburg, MD 21727.
The family wishes to acknowledge and give a special thank you to Dr. Rohan Rhengan and his staff at Davita on Thomas Johnson Drive, especially Brandy and Amy, all of the staff of Northampton Manor and Frederick Health Hospice for the outstanding care and support which was given to Mom and us while she was in their care.
