Dianne Claire Tracey, age 76 of Westminster, Maryland passed away April 22, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Guernsey Stebbings, Jr and Ellen Murray. She was the loving wife of the late Richard “Dick” Tracey for 28 years before his passing in 2008. Dianne was an accomplished educator, and her passion for teaching was undeniable. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from California University of Pennsylvania then went on to receive her Master’s degree in Speech and Language from McDaniel College. Dianne retired from Frederick County Public School System after a career as a teacher and went on to work for Maryland State Department of Education at Johns Hopkins University. Along with her career, Dianne enjoyed gardening, flowers, and watching birds. She loved to travel, especially to the beach and watching the dolphins. Dianne was a proud and active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Taneytown, Maryland where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a past president of the Taneytown Recreation Council and cherished watching her children and grandchildren in their many sports. Surviving are daughter Meagan Gearhart of Westminster, Maryland; son Kyle Tracey of Littlestown, Pennsylvania; step-daughter Tisha Tracey-Miller and husband Rick Miller of Taneytown, Maryland. Grandchildren Alex Gearhart, Ryan Gearhart, Costan Tracey, and Derek Miller. Sisters Kathy Amoss and husband Randy Amoss of Taneytown, Maryland; Karen Jaspert of Union Bridge; Judy McGrew and husband Danny McGrew of Purgitsville, West Virginia. Brothers-in-law Randy Tracey of Taneytown, Maryland; Pete Tracey and wife Kristin Tracey of Taneytown, Maryland; Jerry Tracey and wife Zelda Tracey of Homosassa, Florida. Dianne is additionally survived by a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by mother-in-law Mary Louise Tracey, father-in-law Myron Tracey, and brothers-in-law Bill Jaspert, Robert “Mick” Tracey, and James Tracey. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, Maryland 21787. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held on Thursday, April 30th, 2026, at 11 am with the eulogy starting at 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 44 Frederick Street, Taneytown, Maryland 21787. Interment will be following Mass at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Funeral arrangements made by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., Taneytown.
