Donald "Donny" Edward Stonesifer

October 1, 1950 — December 15, 2022

Westminster

Donald Edward Stonesifer, 72, of Westminster, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born October 1, 1950, he was the son of the late David Edward Stonesifer and Viola May Rippeon. He was the loving husband to Cherie Christine Stonesifer, to whom he was married for 45 years.

He worked for Snyders of Hanover for 51 years as a Production Planner; he truly enjoyed his retirement the last three years and being able to spend time with his family. He was an Elder at the Mayberry First Church of God in Westminster. He loved music, especially Elvis and Michael Jackson; a collector of vinyl records, sports cards, and Elvis memorabilia. He was always up for going to restaurants. He was proud of his home, specifically the outside patio he named Café Marmalade. You could find him sleeping in his hammock for hours when he was not working outside around the house during the summer months. Spending time with his family was important to him, and he loved his grandchildren very much.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Crystal Cerreta and husband Jacob of Westminster, Stacey Schaffer of Waynesboro, PA, and Kellee Schmidt and husband Brandon of Troy, IL; grandchildren, Alexis and Ella Cerreta, Chloe and Adam Schaffer, and Lucas and Emersyn Schmidt; siblings, David Stonesifer of Owings Mills, Richard Stonesifer of Gettysburg, PA, Susan Whitcomb of Westminster, and Steve Stonesifer of Nunn, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Gloria Stonesifer.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the Mayberry First Church of God, 2428 Mayberry Road, Westminster, MD 21158, with Pastor Matthew DeCampo and Pastor Robert Wills officiating. Interment will be private.
