Edward F. “Pete” Huffman, 78, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at 4:26 p.m. at his home in Westminster, MD. Born in Oak Hill, West Virginia, on March 28, 1948, Pete was the son of the late Russell and Mary Huffman. Pete shared more than 50 wonderful years with the love of his life, Connie Lee Huffman. Together they enjoyed traveling and camping until her passing in November 2024. He never stopped missing her and is now reunited with her.
He proudly served his country as a decorated Vietnam veteran before spending nearly 45 years as a respected general contractor. Pete was known for his strong work ethic and loved working throughout his life.
Pete is survived by his loving son, Duane Huffman; his daughter-in-law, Robyn Huffman; and his beloved granddaughter, Dr. Margo Paige Huffman who was his greatest pride and joy who he loved beyond measure and proudly considered the shining star of his life. He is also survived by and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, he is preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters: Mary, Marjorie, Nancy, Debbie, Joey, Butch, Jimmy, and Mack. Pete will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, his unwavering work ethic, and the kindness he shared with everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday July 8, 2026 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 91 Willis Street Westminster (21157) from 9-11am with a funeral service beginning at 11am. Reverend Jimmy Crocker will be officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made to www.myersdurborawfh.com.
