Floyd L. Click

Floyd L. Click, 64, passed away peacefully at his residence in Westminster, on Friday, May 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Saturday, September 3, 1960 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Rev. James Edward and Elinor May Click née Petry. He was a devoted husband of Michele Lynn Click, nee Robertson of Westminster whom he married Friday, May 9, 2025, and is survived also by sister, Gail Maureen Heartley and her husband Glenn Wayne of Chincoteague, Virginia and their sons Drew Scott and Jeremy Heartley; his bonus children Melvin Rippeon, Jr. and his wife Carley, Kelli “Nikki” McDaniels and her husband Vince, Jessica Deal, and Seth Mann and his loving and wonderful bonus grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Dru Ann Click, who passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

Floyd was a man of many talents and interests. He worked as an IT professional for Random House in Westminster for 30 years before finishing his career at Jos. A. Bank Clothiers in Hampstead. Floyd was a history aficionado in particularly about the Civil War, especially the Battle of Gettysburg which he shared with all.

He was a lifelong member of the Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren and proudly served on the Board of the Meadow Branch Cemetery and was the churches unofficial historian for which he was looking forward to the 200 year celebration of Meadow Branch Church of Brethren. Floyd never met a stranger in his life, he talked to everyone. He was an avid collector of antiques, civil war items, and anything to do with pretzels especially tins. His collection of items was so vast he truly needed a warehouse to display all his treasures. In addition to his love of collecting, he had a true passion for Bluegrass music, which lead to him learning to play the Dobro and he would frequently have “Jam Sessions” with friends where they would all share in the love of playing Bluegrass music. This passion continued on as he attended the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival each year. He also enjoyed attending races at Lincoln Speedway watching the 410 Sprint Cars or at home, rallying on his beloved Baltimore Ravens. He was an avid football fan and spent many hours discussing football with his brother-in-law. His fishing trips to Chincoteague, Virginia were a great source of relaxation and family time which he cherished. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29, 2025 11 a.m. to Noon at Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren, 818 Old Taneytown Rd, Westminster (21158), where the funeral service will begin at Noon with Pastor Amy Bell officiating. The interment will follow the church service in Meadow Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Clicks name to the Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren.
