George Ronald Helm, 82, of Havre de Grace, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 13th, 2025 at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born Monday, August 2, 1943 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late George A. and Georgianna K. Helm, nee Foster; loving father of Todd R. Helm and devoted brother of Susan Helm Thomas. He was predeceased by his former spouse Joyce Ann Helm, nee Harrington.
After graduation from high school, he served his country proudly and is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He then went to work for Maersk and ended his 25-year career working at the port of Baltimore as the Maersk Terminal Manager.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 and 11 a.m. to Noon, Wednesday, August 20th, 2025 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157) followed promptly by a graveside funeral service at the Westminster Cemetery, 17 North Church Street, Westminster (21157).
