Georgette Reifsnider

Georgette Reifsnider, 97, of Keymar, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at home with her loving family and friends by her side.

Georgette spent most of her life farming with her husband and children. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In her later years, Georgette enjoyed sitting on her porch, watching the birds and the events around her neighborhood; as well as listening to the church bells every night.

She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ of Taneytown. Georgette’s family and friends called her mom-mom. She was such a great person to all her church family and her own family.

Georgette was the daughter of the late Helen and George Ashbaugh. She is predeceased by her late husband, Glenn W. Reifsnider, son, Douglas Reifsnider, and daughter, Sheila Robertson.

She is survived by her son, G. Wayne Reifsnider and his partner, Cathy Gesell; son-in-law, Tom Robertson; daughter-in-law, Cindy Reifsnider; grandchildren, Clint Reifsnider, Lara Stambaugh, Heidi Garrett, Rhiannon Day, and Brennan Robertson; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Stambaugh, Grace Stambaugh, Kayla Reifsnider, Isabella Reifsnider, Emma Reifsnider, Ford Garrett, Colton Garrett, Aliceson Day, Caden Day, and Landen Day.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown (21787). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Grace United Church of Christ of Taneytown, 49 W. Baltimore Street, Taneytown (21787). Interment will follow at the Grace United Church of Christ of Taneytown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Church of Christ of Taneytown in Georgette’s name.
