Gregory Steven Tignor

November 22, 1963 — May 25, 2021

Baltimore

Gregory Steven Tignor, 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, surrounded by his four daughters. Formerly of Sykesville, Greg most recently resided in Baltimore. Greg was the beloved son of Beverly Tignor and the late Jerry Tignor, loving father of four beautiful and adoring daughters Ally, Macy, Anna, and Sami Tignor, devoted brother of Debbie Versfeld and her husband Alex, cherished uncle of Gib, Grant and Kendall Versfeld, and loving brother of the late Doug Tignor.
Greg was a graduate of the University of Maryland and spent most of his career working as a Financial Sales Manager in the United States Government Contracting industry. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on his beloved Maryland Terps and Washington Redskins. The greatest joy Greg received was watching his four girls thrive in their athletic endeavors and watching them each achieve many athletic successes throughout the years. He also enjoyed coaching and achieved great personal fulfillment from the girls basketball teams he coached.
Greg’s daughters meant the world to him and brought him great joy. He cherished the artwork they created for him and he carefully framed and hung each one of their gifts. Greg loved dancing with his girls, whether teaching them to slow dance, or simply dancing for fun, he knew how to make it memorable and sometimes embarrassingly fun. He also loved to sing in the car with them, often to Marky Mark’s Good Vibrations, passionately sharing his outgoing personality with his girls.
In his spare time, Greg was an avid history buff and grill master and enjoyed watching the history channel and learning new recipes from the food network. He also enjoyed eating out and frequently brought his daughters to Famous Daves. Greg was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and leaves behind a dedicated group of fraternity brothers that meant the world to him. He cherished his many memories with his Sigma Chi brothers and their love. Greg was a bright, athletic, and gregarious individual who will be missed by many.
Greg’s celebration of life will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME,  91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157.
