Helen Mae Erb-McKenzie

Helen Mae (Baublitz) Erb-McKenzie, 85, of Westminster, MD, passed away May 7, 2025. Born July 7, 1939 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George Howard and Rosa (Sparks) Baublitz.

Helen married Paul Theodore Erb Jr. February 15, 1958, and they had three loving children, Charles Erb of Jacksonville, NC, Linda (Erb) Brown, and William Erb, both of Westminster, MD. Helen worked as a factory laborer, cafeteria manager, and other jobs. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling with her kids, and spending time with all of her grandchildren. In August 2002, she married Frederick Dale McKenzie. The pair enjoyed attending ballroom and fire hall dances, and traveling and working tractor pull events.

In addition to her children, Helen will be missed by her large group of friends and family. Her family notes, “We will always love you and will be thinking of you every day. Rest in peace.”, and a special thanks to the BridgingLife support team.

A funeral service in Helen’s memory will take place Tuesday, May 13, 2025, 12 p.m., at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 136 E Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Westminster.
