James Edward "Bud" Brown, Jr.

James Edward “Bud” Brown, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View, surrounded by his loved ones. Born June 19, 1940, he was the son of the late Harvey E. Brown and Mildred E. Brown née Day and devoted brother of Janet Saboury and her husband, Roy, of Taylors Island and Irene Matthews and her husband, Carl, of Harrisburg, PA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Brown.

James was a lifelong Carroll County farmer and extremely proud of his life’s work.

The family will receive friends for a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157). Reverend Joseph Matthews will be officiating. Interment will follow after the memorial service at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, 15773 Dover Road, Upperco (21155).
