Janet Romaine Stitely

On January 21, 2026 Janet Romaine Stitely passed away peacefully in Westminster, MD. Born on February 19, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Truman Otto and Nellie Stitely nee Barnes.

Janet worked at Cambridge Rubber Company in Taneytown for many years. She loved a good TV drama and soap operas but spending time with her family was her joy. She also loved her cats, especially her little trouble maker, Mickey. 

Janet is survived by her son Jeffrey Stitely; and her brother Robert Stitely and sister LouAnn Wilson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Carolyn Renner.

The family will receive friends at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 136 E. Baltimore Street Taneytown (21787) on Monday February 16th, 2026 for visitation from 11:30-12:30pm and a Graveside Service will begin at 1pm at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
