Jesse A. Hansen Sr.

Jesse Adolph Hansen Sr., 99, of Littlestown, PA, died Friday, March 14, 2025, at SpiriTrust Lutheran Village at Gettysburg. Born March 12, 1926, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Eva Justice and William A. Hansen. Jesse was the devoted husband of his late wife, Isabelle L. Northrup Hansen.

Jesse was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II. He later became an automotive mechanic, and worked at Kennies Market in Taneytown until the ‘90’s, was a member of Hesson-Snider Post 120 of the American Legion, and life member of the VFW Post 467 in Westminster.

Jesse is survived by his children, Jesse A. Hansen II and wife, Anne, of Littlestown, PA, Carol Garver and husband, Gary, of Taneytown, MD, and Rudy Hansen and wife Donna, of Gettysburg, PA; 7 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 15 step-great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and brother, Howard Hansen. He was predeceased by son, Wayne H. Hansen; siblings, Charles, Harry, Carroll, Milton, Francis, Nelson, Violet, and Mary Ellen. A grateful thank you to the special loving care given by step-granddaughter, Kristen, during Jesse’s stay at Christen Lutheran Home.

In accordance with Jesse’s wishes, services will be private.
