John David Mcglaughlin

John David McGlaughlin, 89, of Gettysburg, PA, died January 16, 2024 at Gettysburg Hospital. Born April 26, 1934, in Taneytown MD, he was the son of the late John Edgar and Ethel Ellen (Miller) McGlaughlin. John was the devoted husband of the late Doris LaRue (Stonesifer) McGlaughlin.

John was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed taking rides in the countryside to spot wildlife, and keeping his mind sharp with word finds and puzzle books.

John is survived by daughters; Rebecca “Becky” McGlaughlin of Gettysburg, PA, and Cathy McGlaughlin and partner Jason Belcher of Orrtanna, PA, brother; Dennis McGlaughlin of Emmitsburg, sister in law; Kathy McGlaughlin Holt, grandchildren; Tanya Ellen Donota, and Kimberly Ann Highland, and greatgrandchild; Troy. John was predeceased by his parents, son; Dale Allen McGlaughlin, and sister; Susan Sanders McGlaughlin.

Services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., Taneytown.
