Juanita Jane Senseney

Juanita Jane Senseney née Starner, 94, passed away peacefully at her residence in Westminster surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Born on Friday April 3, 1931 to the late Ralph D. Starner, Sr. and Mazie Starner née Leppo, Juanita was a proud lifelong Carroll County resident. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas C. Senseney, whom she was married to for over 45 years.
She is survived by her loving children, Jeffery Scott Senseney and his wife, Jill; Todd Christopher Senseney and his wife, Darlene; and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Senseney; cherished grandchildren, T.C. Senseney and his wife, Nichole; Jason A. Senseney; Jennarae Brown and her husband, Carson Brown; Joseph T. Breining; Jordan Breining; and beloved great-grandchildren, Bennett, Jackie, and Jae. She is predeceased by her son, Thomas C. Senseney, II; brothers, Ralph D. Starner, Jr.; Reese L. Starner; and sister, Dorothy S. Gehr.
In her working life, Juanita worked for Brown, Shipley, and Weant, Attorneys at Law, Drs. Green and Chang, the Carroll County Youth Service Bureau, and the Carroll County Health Department before retiring from Kenneth Pennington Insurance Adjusting. Additionally, she was a former member of Baust Lutheran Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed studying the history of Carroll County and collecting various pieces of Carroll County memorabilia. She also enjoyed working on her needlecraft and creating quilts for her loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157). Interment will follow at Pipe Church Cemetery, 130 S. Clear Ridge Rd., Union Bridge (21791).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll County Humane Society in Juanita’s name.
