Karen A. Spencer, nee Corbett, 80 of Westminster, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, with her family by her side. Born September 19, 1942, In Philadelphia, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Paul M. and Lois B. Corbett, nee Evans. She was the loving mother of Lee Anne K. Powell and stepmother to the late Buddy Spencer.
Karen was an administrator at London Fog. She enjoyed growing up in Ajax, Canada, where she would ice skate to school. Karen was an avid Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan, with grand knowledge of many stats. She loved boating on the Chesapeake Bay, reading, watching movies, karaoke. Her favorite music was Elvis. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Carroll Lutheran Village who loved Karen like their own family.
Surviving are daughter, Lee Anne K. Powell and fiancé Dave of Manchester; brother Denny Corbett of FL; sisters, Mary Sue Houk and husband Bill of OH, Pat Heflin of NC; grandchildren, Christian Cannon and wife Jill of Hanover, PA, Nathan Powell and significant other Tabiee of Westminster; great-grandchildren, Bowie, Emmett, Taylor, Dallas, Danica and Arianna; many nieces and nephews, and her beloved family of Carroll Lutheran Village. She was predeceased by brothers Tom and Kenny Corbett.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a late date. Memorial contributions can be made to the National MS Society, PO Box #91891, Washington, D.C. 20090.
